ArmInfo. The state-owned labeling system "Honest Sign," on behalf of Rospotrebnadzor, has suspended the sale of over 70,000 bottles of drinking water and carbonated beverages from Armenia. This was reported by TASS, citing the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT, the operator of the Honest Sign system).
"On behalf of Rospotrebnadzor, in order to 'prevent possible harm to the life and health of Russian citizens,' CRPT, the operator of the state-owned labeling system "Honest Sign," has suspended the sale of over 70,000 bottles of drinking water and carbonated beverages. The reason for this suspension was identified violations of mandatory product requirements by manufacturers," the statement reads.
The blockage affected certain batches of BJNI mineral drinking and table water, produced by RRR Mineral Water Plant (Armenia), Prosto Azbuka natural drinking water, including a children's water, produced by VATERLOK LLC (Armenia), and DARBAS brand Mojito soft drink, produced by Arsen ev Nerses LLC (Armenia). "The blockage applies to batches produced by the companies on specific dates and does not affect other products," the CRPT emphasized. "Currently, the sale of the batches specified by Rospotrebnadzor is prohibited in retail and online channels until all necessary inspections are completed.
The labeling system is integrated with every checkout point in the country, allowing for immediate consumer protection. Since the beginning of 2026, the Honest Sign system has prevented the sale of 48 million bottles of drinking water that violated expiration dates and mandatory requirements," noted Revaz Yusupov, Deputy General Director of the Center for Water and Water Technologies, as quoted in the statement.
