ArmInfo. Employees of the RA State Revenue Committee have uncovered approximately 1.3 billion drams in shadow turnover at retail gasoline and diesel fuel sales points, according to an official statement released by the agency.
According to the source, the SRC received operational information that a company operating in the Berd community of Tavush Province and engaged in the retail sale of liquefied gas, gasoline, and diesel fuel was not fully reporting its sales revenue in tax filings submitted to the tax inspectorate. Department specialists conducted a detailed analysis of the received data, developed a sequence of measures, and subsequently executed comprehensive operational actions. Data regarding the company's operations—including internal accounting records and draft documentation—were obtained and examined. These figures were then cross- referenced against the tax calculations submitted by the company for the corresponding periods within the SRC's central database.
The investigation revealed that between 2021 and 2026, the company underreported its revenue from the sales of gasoline, diesel fuel, and liquefied gas by approximately AMD 1.3 billion. As a result, roughly AMD 415 million went unrecorded and unpaid into the state budget. A report of the alleged crime was submitted to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, where a criminal case has been initiated
