
ArmInfo. Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan will be on a working visit to Kazakhstan from August 12 to 14.
According to the decision of the RA Prime Minister, published on the government's website, Papoyan will attend the 7th meeting of the Eurasian Union (EAEU) Agro-Industrial Policy Council in Almaty. The previous meeting of the Council was held in Minsk in November 2025.
It is worth noting that days earlier, Gohar Barseghyan, Minister of Industry and Agro-Industrial Complex of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), reported that the Union's agricultural sector is showing positive results overall. Specifically, agricultural production increased by 12.4% over five years, mutual trade almost doubled, and exports increased by 40%. The Union's level of food self-sufficiency reached 93.5% in 2025. "Based on climate and production capabilities, member states complement each other's markets," she emphasized.
