Armenia, U.S. intend to strengthen institutional ties in trade and  economic affairs

ArmInfo.  Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan met with Khush  Choksy, Senior Vice President, International Member Relations and  Senior Vice President, Middle East and Turkiye, U.S. Chamber of  Commerce. 

According to the press service of the MFA, the parties discussed  prospects for institutionalizing relations in trade and economic  affairs, as well as in agriculture, energy, and information  technology.

The interlocutors emphasized the importance of the successes achieved  in Armenian- American bilateral relations in recent years, as well as  the practical implementation of high-level agreements.

According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia,  foreign trade turnover between Armenia and the United States in the  first half of 2026 amounted to 1.5 billion rubles. grew by 42.4%,  amounting to $256.1 million. At the same time, exports showed a  decline of 26.3% to $19.5 million, against the backdrop of import  growth of 54.2% to $236.6 million.
