The Central Bank of Armenia has presented two additional draft regulations for the crypto-asset sector

ArmInfo. The Central Bank, remaining committed to the principles of transparency and accountability, continues the process of public discussion of regulatory acts necessary for the implementation of the Law . This is stated in the message from the country's Main Bank.

Expressing gratitude to all individuals who actively participated in the public discussions of projects regulating the crypto asset sphere, the Central Bank of RA presented two more projects regulating this area: Regulation 7/07 and amendments to the Resolution of the Council of the Central Bank of RA No. 12-N dated January 26, 2026 .

The Central Bank of RA invites all interested parties to submit their comments and proposals on the projects by August 26 of this year. The Central Bank requests that comments and proposals be sent to the email address [email protected].

After summarizing the submitted proposals, the Central Bank will organize a meeting with the authors of the comments and representatives of organizations for their discussion, and the received feedback and positions on them will be published.

Recall that the above-mentioned projects of the Central Bank of Armenia dated August 12, 2026, are aimed at tightening supervision over crypto assets, transitioning the market from an adaptation period to strict regulation, including the standardization of reporting and the implementation of Regulation 7/07 for VASP. The changes introduce requirements for capital, client asset protection, and establish strict standards for auditing transaction metadata.
