Thus, road freight remained the dominant mode of transit despite continuing a mild contraction, though the rate of decline slowed from 0.6% to 0.5%, totaling 5,804.8 thousand tons. Natural Gas Pipeline Transit growth surged from 1.7% to 16.6%, reaching 1,154.1 thousand tons. Rail Freight g growth moderated slightly from 27.6% to 24.7%, totaling 917.3 thousand tons. Air Freight accelerated from 8.7% to 12.8% growth, reaching 21.1 thousand tons. The total freight turnover rose 12.1% year-over-year to 2,526.0 million ton-kilometers.
