Armenia granted duty-free quota for additional 5,000 electric  vehicles from third countries

ArmInfo. Armenia has been granted the right to import an additional 5,000 electric  vehicles duty-free from third countries. The Armenian government  approved the relevant decision of the Council of the Eurasian  Economic Commission during its cabinet meeting on August 20.

According to the explanatory note of the draft decision, under this  resolution, Armenia has been allocated a tariff quota to import  another 5,000 electric vehicles for 2026, applying a zero-rate import  customs duty.

Of the total volume of imported electric vehicles: 4,500 units are  allocated for individuals, individual entrepreneurs, and legal  entities that do not hold a direct dealership or distribution  agreement with the auto manufacturer, up to 500 units are permitted  for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs holding a direct  dealership or distribution agreement with the automaker. (Note: The  regulations require strict documentation).

To complete the import, required documentation includes: a document  confirming the obligation to provide factory warranty and  post-warranty maintenance issued by the auto manufacturer, a   document confirming the obligation to provide factory software  supplied by the manufacturer and documents confirming the  availability of a dedicated closed maintenance station (such as a  certificate of ownership or lease agreement, along with photographs).
