
ArmInfo.Under the chairmanship of Eduard Hakobyan, Head of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), discussions were held with agency personnel who recently completed specialized training in tax and legal regulation and risk management concerning crypto assets and blockchain technology.
According to the agency's press service, the discussion was also attended by First Deputy Chairman of the SRC Vrezh Mkhitaryan, Deputy Chairman of the Committee Hamlet Sahakyan, and the heads of relevant departments. In his speech, Eduard Hakobyan emphasized the importance of comprehensive training programs for SRC staff in the fields of crypto assets and blockchain technology. He noted that the crypto ecosystem has become an established part of Armenia's economic reality, making it vital for staff to expand their expertise to manage potential risks and implement effective regulatory measures in their future work.
Committee members delivered thematic presentations focusing on the legislative acts of the Republic of Armenia regarding crypto assets, taxation mechanisms, and active supervisory and control measures aimed at risk assessment and compliance. Participants also examined international experience and core regulatory challenges in the digital asset sector.
Concluding the discussions, the SRC Chairman commended staff for their ability to apply newly acquired knowledge in practice, assess emerging risks proactively, and refine supervisory mechanisms in step with industry developments.
