Armenia is interested in expanding cooperation with the Czech Republic in the field of urban rail transport, including through technical consulting, exchange of experience, and the participation of Czech companies. This was stated by Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan during a meeting with Czech Transport Minister Ivan Bednarik, which took place as part of the Armenian minister's working visit to Prague.

According to the Ministry of Territorial Administration, the parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in the aviation, rail, and road sectors, as well as issues of mutual interest.

Noting that Wizz Air currently operates direct flights between Yerevan and Prague three times a week, they emphasized the importance of regular air service between the two countries.

It is worth noting that, according to the Statistical Committee, in the first half of 2026... Armenia welcomed 3,917 tourists from the Czech Republic, a 65.8% increase from the previous year.

Bilateral trade volume increased by 22.6% during the same period, reaching $28.6 million. Exports increased by 49% to $3.2 million, while imports grew by 19.9% to $25.4 million.
