Investment opportunities in Armenia discussed in the UAE

ArmInfo. RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan visited Watermelon Ecosystem in Dubai.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, under a memorandum of understanding signed with the company on August 27, the export of Armenian fresh fruits and vegetables to the UAE has begun, initially at a rate of up to 40 tons per week, with the possibility of expanding export volumes in the future.

Accompanied by the company's founders, Gevorg Papoyan toured the production facilities, familiarized himself with the operations, infrastructure, and production capabilities.

Watermelon Ecosystem is a Dubai-based technology platform for the food and beverage sector.

It connects restaurants, hotels, food suppliers, producers, and farmers, offering digital solutions in procurement, supply chain management, and financing. The company also actively collaborates with local producers and suppliers, promoting the availability of their products in the food service sector.

During the visit, investment opportunities in Armenia were discussed and an agreement was reached on closer cooperation in both implementing investment programs and increasing the export volume of Armenian products.
