The IMF will assist Armenia in improving tax administration

ArmInfo. Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) Vrezh Mkhitaryan received representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission.

During their visit to Armenia from September 7 to 18, the delegation will meet with employees of the relevant SRC departments to discuss improving tax administration processes aimed at identifying undeclared employment relationships, as well as areas for implementing international standards and best practices.

During the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that the meetings planned as part of this mission, as well as the support and recommendations provided by the IMF, will contribute to more effective and transparent tax administration in Armenia.

The Deputy Chairman of the SRC emphasized the importance of the established long-standing and effective cooperation between the State Revenue Committee and the International Monetary Fund.

It should be noted that according to the June forecast The IMF maintained its forecast for Armenia's GDP growth in 2026 and 2027, initially expecting a slowdown to 5.3% (from 7.1% in 2025), but then an acceleration to 5.5%.
