According to the RA Statistical Committee, electricity generation increased by 5.9% in July alone, reaching 914.2 million kWh.
In particular, in January-July, thermal power plants (TPPs) provided year-on-year growth of 43.8% to 2,466.5 million kWh, and hydroelectric power plants (HPPs) provided 7.1% growth to 1,619 million kWh.
At the same time, the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) reduced its output by 33.1% year-on-year, to 939.5 million kWh.
Solar power plants provided year-on-year growth of 13.2%, reaching 1,052.3 million kWh, while wind power plants power plants - by 36.8% to 0.6 million kWh.
