
ArmInfo. Minister Gevorg Papoyan met with Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism of the United Arab Emirates, in Dubai.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a broad agenda of economic cooperation between Armenia and the UAE, in particular the possibilities of establishing production and regional distribution centers in Armenia, developing joint logistics hubs, as well as processing Armenian agricultural products and organizing private label production for UAE companies.
The parties also touched upon prospects for cooperation in the fields of green hydrogen production and renewable energy.
The ministers exchanged views on deepening cooperation in tourism, hospitality, and investment.
According to the Statistical Committee, trade turnover between Armenia and the UAE decreased by 72.1% in January-July, amounting to $356.5 million. Exports decreased by 73.7%, reaching $325.4 million, while imports fell by 29.4% to $31.1 million.
In the first half of 2026, 1,837 tourists from the UAE visited Armenia, a 56.9% decrease compared to the same period last year.
