Arminfo. The Armenian government will allocate 1.09 billion drams for the repair and construction of roads leading to schools in the republic. The relevant decision was adopted at a Cabinet meeting on September 11.
According to RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan, the funds will be allocated to modernize roads with a total length of 9.8 km, most of which (9.6 km) will undergo major repairs, while medium-scale repair work will be carried out on a 200-meter section of road.
The regional administrations are acting as the project clients. Most of the work will be carried out by them, while the remainder will be carried out by the "Road Department" Foundation. In total, 61 roads with a total length of 99.1 km are being modernized as part of the program. Work has begun on most of the roads and is scheduled to be completed in October-November of this year.
