Arminfo. Armenia and Jordan discussed opportunities for cooperation in the energy sector. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, citing the results of a meeting between Dr. Sufyan Al-Bataineh, Director General of Jordan’s National Electric Power Company (NEPCO), and Narek Apitonyan, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia.
The meeting also addressed the energy transition processes underway in Jordan and measures aimed at creating a sustainable energy system.
The sides emphasized the importance of exchanging experience and seeking new opportunities for cooperation in this area.
They expressed their readiness to continue discussions and joint work in areas of mutual interest.
The Deputy Minister noted that the energy transition is one of the important areas of Armenia’s energy policy, emphasizing the importance of exchanging experience with international partners and developing cooperation. He welcomed the Jordanian partners’ interest in the energy transition processes in Armenia and the measures being implemented in this direction.
