ArmInfo. Armenia highly values the format of cooperation established with the Asian Development Bank. RA Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan stated this during a meeting with ADB Country Director for the RA Lyaziza Sabirova.
As reported by the government’s press service, during the meeting the parties discussed in detail the progress of programs being implemented jointly with the ADB and future areas of cooperation. In this context, the Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the format of cooperation established with the ADB, emphasizing its alignment with the priorities and objectives set out in the government program.
The interlocutors exchanged views on a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including water resources and infrastructure management, enhancing the seismic safety of schools, as well as ongoing and planned work in the area of policy-based budget support programs.
In terms of future cooperation, particular attention was paid to studying effective formats for public-private partnership programs and the possibilities for their application.
It should be noted that the total volume of ADB commitments and investments in Armenia, as of the end of 2025, reached nearly $2.5 billion. The funds were and are mainly directed toward infrastructure development, support for small and medium-sized businesses, and the "green" economy (for example, major agreements with local banks, including "Ameriabank").
It should be recalled that, according to the ADB forecast, Armenia’s economic growth in 2026-2027 will be within the range of 5.5-5.7%.
