ArmInfo. Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan received a delegation led by Alexander Ferenc Timan, head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission to Armenia.
According to the government press service, during the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister presented in detail macroeconomic processes and the main directions of fiscal policy.
In this context, the interlocutors emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation in developing fiscal planning capabilities and exchanged views on a range of reforms of mutual interest.
As a reminder, the IMF, when updating its forecast in June, did not change its expectations for Armenia's GDP growth, predicting a slowdown in 2026 to 5.3% with a slight acceleration in 2027 to 5.5%.
