ArmInfo. Belgian business leaders without Armenian roots have invested approximately 2 million euros in an Armenian fund. Valeri Safaryan, Chairman of the Armenian-Belgian Chamber of Commerce, announced this at a press conference in Yerevan on October 7, while presenting the program of the Belgian business economic mission to Armenia. He did not specify which fund he was referring to.
Safaryan said that this mission was preceded by two smaller events in Brussels, where Armenia was represented. "Forty people participated in them. Now, about 15 Belgian business leaders have arrived in Armenia as part of this mission." Some of them have already visited the country, while for others this is their first visit," the chamber's chairman said. He highlighted the country's economic growth, gradual rapprochement with the European Union (EU), and the compact size of the Armenian market, which is convenient for establishing business contacts, as factors contributing to the development of business ties. "A number of meetings are planned as part of the program, and opportunities for cooperation in healthcare, logistics, construction, IT, and infrastructure will be presented. In this regard, I would also like to inform you that Belgian entrepreneurs without Armenian roots have invested approximately 2 million euros in the Armenian fund," the head of the Armenian-Belgian Chamber of Commerce concluded.
