
ArmInfo. In Armenia, cigarette production decreased by 1.2% year-on-year from January to August 2026 (compared to 40.4% growth a year ago), reaching 27.3 billion units. This is according to data from the RA Statistical Committee.
According to statistics, cigarette prices continue to rise, with a slight slowdown in annual growth to 7% in August 2026 from 8.2% in August 2025. By comparison, cigarette prices accelerated in 2023 from 8.6% to 11.5%, then retreated to 1.1% in 2024, after which they rebounded to 8.7% in 2025, continuing to grow at a similar rate in 2026.
According to statistics, tobacco production in Armenia, at current prices, decreased by 8.6% year-on-year in January-August 2026 (versus 54.9% growth a year ago), amounting to 179.6 billion drams.
