ArmInfo. A delegation led by Armenian Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan is participating in the 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group in Bangkok, Thailand. During the visit, the minister met with Yevgeny Rugenaat, Executive Director of the World Bank Group, of which Armenia is a member.
According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Finance, the meeting discussed Armenia's economic development and medium-term prospects, as well as the Armenian government's ongoing reforms aimed at attracting investment and stimulating economic growth. The topic of expanding regional connectivity and opportunities for cooperation with the World Bank in infrastructure development were also touched upon.
The parties also discussed the implementation of current programs and new initiatives under development, including development policy financing, housing provision, regional infrastructure improvements, and water sector reforms.
