ArmInfo Baku must pay Yerevan for routing a power transmission line across Armenian territory, according to Narek Karapetyan, head of the opposition  faction "Strong Armenia."

ArmInfo.The Board of the Central Bank of Armenia has amended the regulations governing the issuance and use of electronic money, with the goal of fostering a more efficient and competitive environment. 

ArmInfo.The Armenian nuclear power plant (ANPP) has a defined operational lifespan, but that timeline is not determined by any government in the world, as  the plant's maximum permitted operation is authorized until 2036, according to Arman Yeghoyan, a member of parliament from the ruling  "Civil Contract" faction. Speaking at a briefing on August 12, 2026, Yeghoyan commented on recent statements from Azerbaijani President  Ilham Aliyev regarding the closure of the ANPP.

The accumulated AMD 5,094,763 was directed to the implementation of large-scale tree planting and forest restoration, contributing to the preservation of local biodiversity.

ArmInfo.  Amendments to the Law "On Trade and Services" will come into force in Armenia on  January 1, 2027. These amendments establish new requirements for the  circulation of disposable plastic products. This was announced in a  statement by the Market Surveillance Inspection Authority.

ArmInfo. Precise mathematical calculations, financial skills, and boundless enthusiasm: another round of the Junius Financial Tournament has come to an end.      During the official award ceremony, participants who collected the highest number of crystals and were recognized as the best in their respective age groups, received valuable prizes.      Tatevik Vardevanyan, Head of Communications and Social Responsibility Programs at IDBank and Idram, highlighted the steadily growing interest among children in the Junius tournament.      “By participating in the Junius tournament, children gain knowledge about finance and solve mathematical problems, making it a fantastic way to spend the summer holidays productively”, said Tatevik Vardevanyan.       The tournament winners received a range of valuable prizes, marking the beginning of their future success.       The launch of the new round of the Junius Financial Tournament will be announced very soon. The Financial Tournament is open to schoolchildren across Armenia in grades 3-8. To win, participants must complete levels 1 to 50 as fast as possible while earning the maximum number of points.       The Idram Junior app is designed for users aged 8–16. It allows children to use cashless funds, make contactless payments, save money, and develop financial literacy, while giving parents the ability to monitor their children’s financial activities through a modern and secure tool.      Congratulations to all participants.     

ArmInfo.A major new chapter in Armenia’s AI development begins with the opening of the Firebird AI factory, as noted in a statement  issued by the U.S.   Embassy in Armenia, posted on its official Facebook page.

ArmInfo. In January-July 2026, 1.240 million tourists visited Armenia, a 7% increase compared to the  same period last year.

ArmInfo.  The opening of the Firebird AI plant in Hrazdan and the deployment of the highly  powerful NVIDIA Blackwell/Rubin infrastructure (18 MW currently, 300  MW in the future) is truly a significant achievement, allowing  Armenia to take a truly prominent place on the global technological  map.
