ArmInfo.In Armenia's interbank currency market from June 15 to 19, 2026, ruble transactions experienced growth, while dollar transactions began to decline. Euro transactions have not been executed for nearly four months.

ArmInfo. Construction work on the Kajaran-Agarak tunnel of the North-South transport corridor is entering a new phase. Waterproofing work on the 455-meter tunnel has  been completed, and concreting is gaining momentum. This was reported  by the Road Department Foundation.

ArmInfo.As part of Glovo Retail Media Day 2026, Idram and Glovo signed a memorandum of cooperation at Glovo’s headquarters in Barcelona. As part of the partnership, soon users will be able to make payments in the Glovo app through the Idram&IDBank app by selecting Idram as a payment method.

ArmInfo.The acquisition of GNC Alfa by telecom operator Viva Armenia will be completed in the coming days. This was announced by Gegham Gevorgyan, Chairman of the Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition, at the plenary session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on June  18.

ArmInfo.  For the first time, the institution of restructuring (bank resolution) of insolvent banks is being introduced in the Armenian banking system. At its June 18 session, the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia discussed the draft law "On Bank Restructuring" and a large package of related documents submitted by the Armenian government in the first reading.

ArmInfo.  Any action taken by the Armenian government against the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA), a company owned by Samvel Karapetyan, including its direct nationalization, would violate the decisions made by the Stockholm Arbitral Tribunal in July 2025, as noted in a statement issued by the ENA Control Committee,  following the Armenian government's  announcement that the Stockholm Arbitral Tribunal had fully granted  Armenia's motion to bifurcate the proceedings in the arbitration case  of Liormand Holdings Limited and Karapetyans v. Armenia.

The international event  convened over 1,000 participants from more than 28 countries.

ArmInfo.  In 2025, Armenia welcomed 2.3 million tourists, while taking into account the government's annual budget for tourism development, the state spends only $1.77 per international visitor. Takuya Aoyama, renowned  international hotel and investment expert, made this statement during  a panel discussion at the Hospitality Investment Forum Yerevan 2026  (HIF).  Comparing Armenia with Azerbaijan, which welcomed 2.5 million  tourists last year, he noted that the government spends $13 per  tourist.
