Mikayel Melkumyan: PAP submitted three packages of economic and  social measures to the government that will help reduce the  consequences of coronavirus

ArmInfo. We have submitted to the government three packages of economic and social measures that will make it possible to reduce the destructive effects of coronavirus.   Mikayel Melkumyan, MP from the Prosperous Armenia faction, said this  at a briefing in the National Assembly on April 20.

He noted that the first package is aimed at supporting those citizens  who receive daily salaries. The second package concerns taxi drivers,  and according to the third package, it is planned to provide  assistance to single elderly people, people with disabilities and  large families who receive only benefits or pensions.

In turn, another MP from "Prosperous Armenia" Naira Zohrabyan  emphasized that it is necessary to reduce the tuition fees for  students by at least 25%. <The situation in the country has become  very complicated, people have no money for food; many students'  parents lost their income because of the coronavirus. They do not  work and cannot pay for the education of children, we must change  this situation>, the MP emphasized.

According to Zohrabyan, the authorities should also finally resolve  the issue related to assistance to persons who received daily  salaries, however, were not registered employees. <These people are  in extremely poor condition. All this can lead to extreme social  tension>, the MP concluded.
