Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated, addressing to the participants in the parliamentary hearings on the implementation of the state budget of the country in 2019 on June 5. According to him, the state budget is the answer to the question of whether citizens of the country want to have their homeland and their statehood.
Moreover, according to the Prime Minister, it is impossible to solve the problems of every citizen of the country at the expense of the state treasury, but attracting and paying for a high-quality official with a high salary can positively affect the life of every Armenian citizen.
"As of today our task is not the replenishment of the revenues of the state budget, whether Armenia will remain a free and independent state after 20 years, and this is not an exaggeration. When implementing reforms, we do not pursue the goal of solving fiscal problems, we solve political and philosophical issues ", the head of the Armenian government emphasized.
To prevent such a development of events, Nikol Pashinyan pointed out the importance of changing the mentality, since budget discipline is the answer to the question of whether people want their own statehood, and for this it is important to change their attitude to the state system. The state budget, according to him, is also a security issue. But when till-slips are not issued, or there are no accompanying documents for this or that cargo - this affects the state pocket. The head of government noted the presence of huge volumes of "shadow economy". Otherwise, in 2019, 400 billion drams of additional tax revenues would have been collected.
