
ArmInfo.RA Minister of Economy Tigran Khachatryan predicts some growth of the Armenian economy in 2020.
In an interview with journalists on November 6, he noted that following the results of 9 months of this year, the growth of economic activity in Armenia amounted to 0.5%. However, in the fourth quarter statistics on grapes will be summarized, the harvest of which this year is much higher than last year. The minister refrained from giving specific figures, but assured with confidence that the indicators of economic activity this year will be higher than last year.
Note that according to the National Statistical Committee, the indicator of economic activity in Armenia, according to preliminary data, in January-September 2020 registered a decline of 6.6% compared to the same period in 2019. At the same time, in September 2020, compared to September 2019, the decline was 7.5%, and compared to August 2020, the indicator of economic activity, on the contrary, increased by 10.6%.
