Subvention programs are the driving force of Kapan`s development 

ArmInfo.  Subvention programs are the driving force of Kapan. This was stated by Advisor to the Governor of the Syunik region Karen Balyan to the regional television  channel Syunik TV. 

"This is not only the creation of new infrastructure, but also a  sustainable foundation for the further development of the city," he  emphasized. In 2023 alone, 11 subvention programs worth 2.7 billion  drams were launched in Kapan, with co-financing from the state in the  amount of 1.8 billion drams, the community - 900 million drams and  the private sector represented by the Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum  Combine (ZCMC) - 350 million drams. 

In 2024, 15 subvention programs worth 2.2 billion were approved, of  which 1.3 billion drams is the government's share, 870 million drams  is the community's share, and 300 million drams is ZCMC. In 2025, 1  subvention program with several subprograms worth more than 2.2  billion drams has been approved in Kapan, of which 1.2 billion is the  government's share, and the remaining amount will be provided by  ZCMC.
