Armenia to join agreement on creation of service for searching industrial property facilities within Eurasian Economic Union

At its February 26 meeting, the Armenian government approved the signing of the Agreement on a Service for Searching for Industrial Property Objects  (Trademarks, Patents, etc.) in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).  Approved by the EEC Council in September 2025, the Agreement creates  a free, publicly accessible online tool for unified searches across  all Union countries.

The service operates as a "one-stop shop" for businesses and patent  attorneys, enhancing the protection of intellectual property rights.

As stated in the explanatory note to the decision, the Agreement  regulates relations arising in connection with the creation and  operation of a service for searching for information on industrial  property objects protected in the member states of the Eurasian  Economic Union. Industrial property objects for which information can  be searched using the search service include trademarks, service  marks, geographical indications, and appellations of origin.

"The conclusion of the Agreement will facilitate public access to  information on industrial property protected in Member States, as  well as strengthening mutually beneficial and equal cooperation in  the field of intellectual property," the document states.
