
ArmInfo.Power generation in Armenia in January-February 2026 slowed its annual growth rate from 8.8% to 7.5%, reaching 1,921 million kWh. In February alone, output decreased by 23.1% to 835.3 million kWh.
According to the RA Statistics Committee, thermal power plants increased electricity generation by 43.9% to 933.6 million kWh. Meanwhile, hydroelectric power plants and the Arkhangelsk Nuclear Power Plant reduced their output by 44.4% and 3.5%, respectively, to 182.3 million kWh and 617.7 million kWh.
Solar power plants increased their output by 3.1 times to 0.3 million kWh, while wind power plants increased their output by 10.4% to 187.1 million kWh.
