
ArmInfo. Armenian Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan received a delegation led by Elisabetta Falcetti, EBRD Managing Director for Turkey and the Caucasus.
The discussions focused on expanding the EBRD's presence in Armenia through new initiatives, specifically targeting reservoir construction and the revitalization of secondary cities. The meeting also served as a preview for the upcoming EBRD Annual Meeting in Riga (June 5-7), which will feature a dedicated session on Armenia's investment potential.
Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to continuing effective and close cooperation aimed at strengthening Armenia's economic resilience and consistently advancing its strategic development agenda.
It is worth noting that, according to its September forecast, the EBRD expects Armenia's GDP growth to reach 4.5% by the end of 2026. Since its operations in Armenia in 1992, the Bank has invested over EUR 2.5 billion in 231 projects in the country.
