Gevorg Mantashyan: AI development requires responsible management and  long-term strategic approaches

ArmInfo. The development of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies requires not only the implementation of advanced solutions but also responsible management and long-term strategic approaches.

This was stated by Gevorg Mantashyan, Deputy Minister of High Technologies of the Republic of Armenia, during a panel discussion on "Principles for the  Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence within the Framework of Eurasian Economic Integration," organized as part of the Fifth Eurasian Economic Forum.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that AI development should be based on  the principles of trust, transparency, the development of  professional competencies, a human-centered approach, and  international cooperation.

Mantashyan also emphasized the importance of exchanging experiences  and deepening professional cooperation between EAEU countries, noting  that AI and machine learning technologies can play a significant role  in enhancing industrial competitiveness, the efficiency of public  services, and the development of innovation ecosystems.

He added that Armenia continues to develop its technological and  innovative potential, emphasizing education, professional training,  and international partnerships to create a robust and competitive AI  ecosystem in the region.

The discussion was attended by high-ranking representatives of EAEU  countries, including Dmitry Mun, Deputy Minister for Artificial  Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan;  Kirill Zalesky, Minister of Communications and Informatization of the  Republic of Belarus; and Tigran Sargsyan, Deputy Chairman of the  Board of the Eurasian Development Bank. Representatives of  international organizations and relevant bodies also participated in  the event, discussing prospects for developing digital cooperation,  the application of artificial intelligence, and technological  progress in the region.

The discussion focused on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) as  a key driver of digital integration, economic modernization, and  stimulating innovative growth in the Eurasian Economic Union's common  market. Participants discussed AI development priorities, effective  data management mechanisms, the development of common standards, and  the need to develop secure and reliable digital solutions.
