ArmInfo. Rosselkhoznadzor (Rosselkhoznadzor) conducts monthly monitoring of products from Armenia entering the Russian market, Sergei Dankvert, head of Rosselkhoznadzor, told TASS in an interview at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
"We are currently conducting monthly monitoring of products entering the Russian market. We monitor and analyze. If there is an increase in violations identified for a particular product over the course of a month, our colleagues enter into negotiations," Dankvert said, responding to a question about imports from Armenia.
Starting May 30, Rosselkhoznadzor imposed temporary restrictions on the import of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, green vegetables, and strawberries from Armenia into Russia. Starting June 2, similar restrictions were imposed on the import of cherries, sour cherries, apricots, peaches, plums, nectarines, and grapes. Additionally, starting June 3, imports of pome fruits, eggplants, potatoes, and dried fruits from Armenia were restricted.
