
ArmInfo. On 9 June an official reception entitled “Armenian Banking Days in Germany” was held in Frankfurt at the initiative of the Union of Banks of Armenia, dedicated to strengthening cooperation between the financial sectors of Armenia and Europe.
The purpose of the reception was to bring together colleagues and partners to reaffirm a shared vision for the future and to reflect on the work accomplished over the years. The event was attended by executive representatives of German commercial banks, the Stuttgart Stock Exchange, the Frankfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce, asset management companies in Germany, and other European financial institutions, as well as the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Germany, the Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia, chief executives of Armenian commercial banks, and other officials. The event was attended by the following Armenian banks: IDBank, Converse Bank, Evocabank, AraratBank, Acba Bank, Armeconombank, Unibank, Inecobank, Byblos Bank Armenia, and ArmSwissBank.
Daniel Azatyan, Chairman of the Union of Banks of Armenia, expressed appreciation for the long-standing support of the Government of Germany and EU to the Armenian economy over the past two decades, delivered through KfW and the European Investment Bank. This assistance has contributed to Armenia’s economic development and the strengthening of financial culture and institutional standards. Mr. Azatyan also noted that the initiative serves as a platform for strengthening dialogue and long-term cooperation between the financial sectors of Armenia and Europe.
During the reception, participants highly appreciated the organization of meetings in this format and emphasized the importance of ensuring their continuity within the agenda of integration between the Armenian and European financial systems.
