The report notes that the combination of professionalism and iron discipline among ZCMC employees has turned the most dangerous area into the safest one. "Several generations, millions of tons of ore, and 0 errors: an absolute and historic record for the company has been set at the combine's blasting site — 75 years of accident-free operations. This is the brightest example of human responsibility and professional excellence.
From planning to the final blast: the video showcases the most impressive and responsible process at the mine. However, before the actual blast, calculations are made in silence, using computer graphics to determine the exact location of the explosion. Modern technologies and computer solutions make it possible to determine the blast site down to the centimeter.
According to Anushavan Arakelyan, Deputy Head of the Mining and Technical Works Service, modeling and simulation are conducted before any blasting operations take place. Within the framework of the simulation, if the expected blast does not yield the proper effect, adjustments are made to achieve maximum efficiency. But once the blast passport is ready, the main stage of the work begins.
It is worth noting that Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine CJSC (ZCMC) is Armenia's largest mining company. The combine operates the Kajaran copper-molybdenum deposit.
