 AmCham Armenia to host 4th Regional Economic Summit of  American  Chambers of Commerce in Yerevan in 2027

ArmInfo.  Ambassador of Armenia to Bulgaria Tsovinar Hambardzumyan participated in the 3rd AmChams Regional Economic Summit (ARES) 2026, held in Sofia.

According to the press service of the Armenian Embassy in Bulgaria,  The discussions were focused on energy security, infrastructure,  financing and investment, digital transformation, manufacturing,  innovation, supply chains, and regional connectivity.

Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening cross-border  partnerships and fostering sustainable economic growth across the  wider region.

It was noted that Elina Markaryan, President of the American Chamber  of Commerce in Armenia (AmCham Armenia), presented Armenia's  commitments and opportunities during the fourth plenary session,  titled "Regional Infrastructure and Construction. The Armenian side  also presented e key drivers and the challenges facing Armenia's  financial and investment sectors.

During the Summit, Ambassador Hambardzumyan held exchanges with  representatives of the business community, diplomatic missions, and  participating states and institutions, highlighting Armenia's  favorable investment climate, ongoing economic reforms, and the  country's growing role as a bridge connecting Europe, the Middle  East, and Eurasia. 

The Armenian Embassy also announced that AmCham Armenia will host the  4th Regional Economic Summit of American Chambers of Commerce in  Yerevan in 2027. 

Recall, The first two editions were held in Istanbul in 2024 and  Athens in 2025, and this year's Summit in Sofia welcomed more than  313 participants from 16 countries and facilitated approximately 300  pre- arranged business-to-business meetings.

The Summit was officially opened by Ivan Mihaylov, Chief Executive  Officer of AmCham Bulgaria, H.E.  Ms. Velislava Petrova, Minister of  Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, and H.E. Ms. Iva  Petrova, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Bulgaria. The Summit  brought together delegations from across a broad "super-region,"  including Armenia, Georgia, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan,  Uzbekistan, Cyprus, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia; as  well as representatives from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA),  including Jordan, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.  ARES  is a joint initiative of the American Chambers of Commerce in  Bulgaria, Greece, and Turkiye, bringing together representatives of  governments, the diplomatic corps, international organizations,  business associations, and the private sector from across Southeast  Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East and North Africa region.
