ArmInfo. Armenia's alcohol production saw broad-based growth across most categories in the first half of 2026, with vodka, liquor, and whisky remaining key exceptions, according to data from the Statistical Committee of Armenia. Specifically:
Brandy (Cognac): Output surged by 9.5% year-over-year to surpass 7 million liters, marking a sharp recovery from the 31.8% contraction recorded in H1 2025.
Wine: Rebounded from a 36.3% decline to post 15.3% growth, reaching 3.2 million liters. Sparkling Wine (Champagne): Turned around from a 14.7% drop to grow 34.2%, totaling 551,100 liters.
Beer: Production growth accelerated slightly from 14.9% to 15.8%, bringing total output to 16.9 million liters.
Whisky: The decline deepened from 19.3% to 33.6%, with output falling to 857,200 liters.
Vodka, Liqueurs, and other Spirits: Reversed from 5.8% growth to a 16.5% decline, dropping to 640,300 liters.
