This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, citing the meeting between the head of the ministry, David Khudatyan, and the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Mariam Kvrivishvili, which took place in Batumi.
According to the source, in the context of developing the aviation industry, the ministers particularly emphasized the need to open new direct air routes between cities in Armenia and Georgia and increase the number of flights.
They also touched on continuing strategic cooperation in the energy sector. The parties discussed existing challenges and development prospects in the field of freight transportation and logistics, both within the context of bilateral cooperation and in a broader regional format.
The meeting took place as part of Khudatyan's participation in the opening ceremony of the Georgian International Maritime Forum (GIMF 2026). The event brought together more than 400 delegates from approximately 40 countries.
