Customs and logistics centers in Yerevan and Syunik will be certified according to LEED standards

ArmInfo. The State Revenue Committee of Armenia (SRC) and the specialized international consultant

- the joint venture CES Clean Energy Solutions GesmbH / iC consulenten LLC signed an agreement under which, as part of the project to build customs and logistics centers in Yerevan and Syunik, the consultant will provide technical support in the process of implementing the requirements of the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) green building certification system and obtaining the relevant certificates.

As part of the work, design solutions will be assessed and, if necessary, improved, taking into account requirements for energy efficiency, efficient use of water resources, the use of renewable energy sources, ensuring natural lighting and indoor environmental quality, efficient use of construction materials and resources, waste management, and reducing environmental impact.

According to a statement by the SRC, the customs and logistics centers in Yerevan and Syunik are planned to obtain certification at least at the LEED Silver level or higher.

As part of the program’s implementation, modern, energy-efficient, and environmentally responsible customslogistics infrastructures meeting international green building standards are planned to be created.
