ArmInfo. Armenian Ambassador Grigor Hakobyan met with Iranian Vice President and Co-Chair of the Armenia-Iran Intergovernmental Joint Commission Hamid Pourmohammadi.
According to a statement from the Armenian Embassy in Iran, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral cargo transportation, existing obstacles, and ways to overcome them.
During the meeting, they emphasized the importance of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission and noted the need to hold its 19th meeting in the near future.
It should be noted that, according to the Statistics Committee, in January-July 2026, mutual trade between Armenia and Iran increased by 6.1%, amounting to $437.7 million. At the same time, exports declined by 2.5% to $52.6 million, while imports increased by 7.4% to $385.1 million
