ArmInfo. Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan held a meeting with representatives of the hotel industry. Participants discussed current industry challenges and solutions, legislative regulation, issues related to increasing tourist flows, infrastructure development, and training of relevant personnel.
They also touched on opportunities for expanding Armenia's regional connectivity and enhancing the competitiveness of hotel services.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Economy, the meeting allowed industry representatives to directly voice their concerns and proposals, as well as discuss opportunities for further cooperation. Chairman of the Armenian Tourism Committee Anushik Avetyan and Director of the Investment Promotion Fund (IPF) Gohar Abajyan also participated in the meeting.
The meeting was held at the initiative of the IAF. It should be noted that, according to the Tourism Committee, 1.467 million tourists visited Armenia in January-August 2026, which is 1.7% lower than the same period last year.
