ArmInfo. Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan received the head of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Resident Mission in Armenia, Lyaziza Sabirova.
According to the ADB press service, the sides discussed current programs and priorities for further cooperation. In particular, the issues discussed included water resources management and infrastructure development, programs to improve the seismic safety of schools, budget support programs, as well as opportunities for public-private partnerships.
During the meeting, they emphasized the importance of effective cooperation between the Asian Development Bank and Armenia in the interests of the country’s sustainable development.
It should be noted that the Asian Development Bank (ADB) maintained its forecast for Armenia’s GDP growth in 2026 and 2027, expecting growth to first slow to 5% (from an actual 7.1% in 2025) and then accelerate to 5.5%. The Bank expects growth to be supported by domestic demand and the construction, services and tourism sectors.
